What estate agent fees will I have to pay selling a house?

Estate agent fees typically vary between 1%-3% depending on the final sale price of your house. When choosing an estate agent, it’s worth not looking who offers the lowest fee, but also factors like which agent sells properties like yours most quickly and achieves the best prices for their sellers.

If I sell my house do I pay taxes?

Usually, when you sell your main home (or only home) you don’t have to pay any capital gains tax. However, in some circumstances you may have to pay some. It’s best to consult an independent financial adviser. If you are selling a second home, you generally do have to pay capital gains tax, 18 or 28% on the gain, the difference of value between the price you sell the house for and the price you paid for it.
